Approved English test centre lists updated on 12 October 2026
13 Oct 2026
If you need to prove your English for a visa, settlement or citizenship, check the list of approved test centres before you book. GOV.UK shows the Secure English Language Test (SELT) guidance as last updated on 12 October 2026.
The change note says: "Updated the list of approved test centres in and outside the UK." The page does not say which centres were added or removed.
The guidance says some applicants need a four-skills test (reading, writing, speaking and listening), including Skilled Worker, Health and Care Worker and Scale-up Worker applicants. Others, including people applying for citizenship, settlement or a partner or parent visa, need speaking and listening only. Before you book, open the GOV.UK page and check that your chosen centre is on the current list. Lists can change, so check again if you booked a while ago.
