Home Office confirms visa and citizenship fees unchanged from 8 October 2026

If you're planning to apply for indefinite leave to remain (ILR), British citizenship, a BNO visa or a Skilled Worker visa, the fees you pay are not changing on 8 October 2026. The Home Office published its latest fee table, updated on 10 September 2026, confirming the fee amounts that will apply from 8 October 2026, and every figure in it stays the same as now.
The most commonly checked amounts are unaffected. Indefinite leave to remain stays at £3,226. Naturalisation as a British citizen stays at £1,709, and the Life in the UK test still costs £50. BNO visa fees are also unchanged, £206 for 30 months and £285 for 5 years. Skilled Worker fees stay the same too, £819 for three years or less and £1,618 for over three years (applying from outside the UK), with Health and Care Worker visa fees still ranging from £324 to £628.
What this means for you: if you were budgeting for a fee rise on your ILR, citizenship, BNO or Skilled Worker application around 8 October, you can rely on the amounts you see today. There is no fee increase in this update, so there is no need to rush an application before that date just to beat higher costs.
