Home Office Refreshes Worker Sponsor Register Again

If you're on a Skilled Worker, Health and Care Worker, or Scale-up Worker visa, this register affects you. On 22 September 2026, the Home Office updated the Register of Licensed Sponsors: Workers. This is the official list of organisations allowed to sponsor people on the Worker and Temporary Worker immigration routes.
The register shows, in the Home Office's own words, "the category of workers they're licensed to sponsor and their sponsorship rating." That rating matters. A sponsor with an A rating is in good standing. A sponsor with a B rating, or one that has dropped off the list entirely, may be under Home Office scrutiny, and that can affect your visa.
If your visa depends on being sponsored by a specific employer, it's worth checking the current register to confirm your sponsor is still listed with a valid rating. This list changes often, so today's update is routine rather than a one-off event, but it's still worth a quick check if you haven't looked recently.
If you can't find your employer on the list, or their rating looks different from what you expected, don't panic straight away. Double check the spelling of your employer's name first, since the register is large and updates frequently. If it's still missing, raise it with your employer's HR or immigration team, or speak to an immigration adviser.
