India TB clinic list updated for UK visa applicants

If you're applying for a UK visa from India and need a tuberculosis (TB) test, this affects you. GOV.UK's rule is clear: "You'll need to have a tuberculosis (TB) test if you're coming to the UK for 6 months or more and both of the following apply: you've lived in India for 6 months or more [and] you were living there within the last 6 months." The page also notes fiancé(e) applicants and returning residents who've been away more than 2 years may need one too.
On 21 September 2026, UKVI updated the approved clinic list. In Lucknow, the operating hours for Lucknow Medical Clinic were updated, and the National X-ray Clinic was removed from the approved list entirely. That means a TB certificate from the removed Lucknow clinic will no longer be accepted for a visa application.
Before you book a TB test, check the current approved clinic list for your city rather than using a clinic name from an old application or a friend's experience. Using an unapproved clinic means your certificate won't be accepted and you'll need to test again, which can delay your visa application.
