Iraq TB clinic guidance updated for UK visa applicants
07 Jul 2026
If you live in Iraq and plan to apply for a UK visa lasting more than 6 months, you may need a tuberculosis (TB) test before you apply. GOV.UK updated the Iraq TB clinic guidance on 1 July 2026, noting that "new address and contact details have been added for IOM Baghdad clinic."
The IOM Baghdad clinic is now listed at House No. 14, Street 28, Rusafa, Baghdad, Iraq. You can reach the clinic on +964 782 782 4146, +964 772 990 0535, or +964 772 990 0525, or by email at [email protected]. The clinic is open Sunday to Thursday, 8am to 4pm. Test fees are $70 for children under 11 and $150 for those 11 and over.
If you are closer to northern Iraq, the other approved clinic is IOM Erbil, at Balsam Hospital, 4th floor, Gulan Street, off Baharka Road, Erbil. You can contact this clinic on +964 (0) 66 211 2550 or by email at [email protected], Sunday to Thursday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, with the same test fees as Baghdad and online booking available.
This applies to anyone who is a resident of Iraq applying to come to the UK for more than 6 months, whatever visa route you are using. The Home Office only accepts TB certificates from these approved clinics, so book your appointment at IOM Baghdad or IOM Erbil before you submit your visa application.
