Sponsor register updated for skilled worker visa holders

If you're on a Skilled Worker or Health and Care Worker visa, your sponsor needs an active Home Office sponsor licence for your visa to stay valid. The Home Office's "Register of licensed sponsors: workers" was refreshed again on 17 September 2026, showing the change note "Register updated."
This isn't a one-off change. The register's update history shows it gets refreshed very frequently as sponsors are added, suspended or removed, so it's worth checking now if you have any doubt about your employer's status, and worth bookmarking for future reference.
What to do: search the register for your sponsor's name and confirm they're still listed with a valid rating. If your sponsor has been removed or downgraded, contact your immigration adviser as soon as possible, since your permission to stay could be affected.
