UKVI Updates Caseworker Guidance on Citizenship Ceremonies and Reconsideration

UKVI updated its internal nationality guidance on 17 June 2026. The sections updated cover citizenship ceremonies, oath and pledge, how applications are determined, and how applicants can seek reconsideration of a decision.
This guidance is used by immigration caseworkers who process British citizenship applications. The update note states that changes were made "to make them clearer" following a general review. This is a clarification of existing procedures, not a change to the underlying rules.
