Worker sponsor register updated again on 10 September 2026

11 Sep 2026

If you're on a Skilled Worker visa, or waiting on a job offer tied to one, it's worth another quick check. GOV.UK updated its register of licensed sponsors for the Worker and Temporary Worker routes on 10 September 2026. The page's update history confirms: "10 September 2026 - Updated register of licensed sponsors."

The register lists every organisation currently licensed to sponsor Worker and Temporary Worker visas, along with the category they can sponsor in and their sponsorship rating. Because it's refreshed often, a company that looked fine a few weeks ago could have changed status since then.

If your job offer or current sponsorship depends on a specific employer, search for their name in the downloadable register before you rely on it, whether you're applying, switching jobs, or extending your visa. Confirm they still hold an active licence in the right category and check their rating hasn't dropped.

This is a routine data refresh rather than a policy change, so there's nothing new to act on beyond double-checking your employer's status if you have an application coming up.
