Worker sponsor register updated on 1 October 2026

02 Oct 2026

If you're on a Skilled Worker visa, or waiting on a sponsored job offer, it's worth another quick check. The Home Office has refreshed its Register of Licensed Sponsors for Workers, showing an "Updated 1 October 2026" date on GOV.UK.

The register lists every organisation licensed to sponsor Worker and Temporary Worker visas, including routes like Skilled Worker, and each sponsor's current rating (for example, Worker A-rated or Temporary Worker A-rated). Your visa depends on your sponsor holding a valid licence at the right rating, so if your employer's status has changed since the last refresh, it can affect your ability to work, extend your visa, or switch employer.

What to do: download the latest register and search for your employer's name. Confirm they still appear under the correct route and rating. If you can't find them, or their status has changed, raise it with your employer's HR or immigration team straight away rather than waiting for a renewal deadline to find out.
