Skilled Worker sponsor register updated on 11 September 2026

12 Sep 2026

If you're on a Skilled Worker or Health and Care Worker visa, this is a quick one to check. GOV.UK updated the official register of licensed sponsors again on 11 September 2026, just a day after the previous update. The page's "Updates to this page" section now lists an entry reading "11 September 2026 - Register updated."

The register is the master list the Home Office keeps of every employer allowed to sponsor workers. It changes often as sponsors are added, suspended, or removed, so a fresh update doesn't necessarily mean bad news. But it's worth confirming your employer is still listed, especially if you're mid-application, waiting on a Certificate of Sponsorship, or planning to switch jobs.

Search the register for your sponsor's name using their exact legal company name. If they're missing or their status has changed, contact your HR or immigration team straight away, since your permission to work depends on your sponsor holding a valid licence.
