If you hold a work visa or plan to apply for one, this update is relevant to you. On 25 September 2026, the Home Office updated the Register of Licensed Sponsors: Workers. The GOV.UK update note reads "Updated register of licensed sponsors."
The register is a "List of organisations licensed to sponsor workers on the Worker and Temporary Worker immigration routes." For each organisation it shows "the category of workers they're licensed to sponsor and their sponsorship rating." It is available to download as a CSV file.
This is a routine refresh of an existing list. The page does not announce a rule change, a new fee or a deadline. If your visa depends on a sponsoring employer, the register is the official place to see whether that employer is currently listed.
